READY-TO-PRINT RFID LABELS FOR INVENTORY TRACKING

Our unencoded RFID tags are supplied as blank thermal transfer labels and feature an embedded RFID inlay consisting of a chip and antenna with factory-default or unprogrammed memory. These ready-to-encode smart labels are designed for on-demand printing of human-readable information, including text, graphics, and barcodes, while also allowing electronic data encoding through compatible RFID thermal transfer printer/encoders. Ideal for inventory management, asset tracking, logistics, and supply chain applications, these labels provide the flexibility to customize and program RFID data at the point of use.

Smarter Labels. Real-Time Visibility. Better Results.

DockitRFID provides high-quality RFID thermal transfer labels designed to help businesses improve inventory accuracy, automate data collection, and gain real-time visibility across their operations.

Are RFID labels compatible with Zebra printers?

Yes. Our RFID labels are designed for use with many Zebra RFID printer models and other RFID printer-encoder systems.

Can RFID labels be printed on demand?

Yes. RFID thermal transfer labels can be printed and encoded using RFID-enabled thermal transfer printers.

Can RFID labels improve inventory accuracy?

Absolutely. RFID technology helps reduce manual scanning errors while providing real-time visibility into inventory movement and location.

Blank Memory

The integrated circuit (IC) within the tag's inlay has non-volatile memory that has not yet been written with specific application data (e.g., unique identifiers, product information, serial numbers).

Thermal Transfer Material

The outer label material is specifically designed for use with a thermal transfer printer, which applies heat to a ribbon to create durable, high-clarity print that resists fading, water, oil, and chemicals, making them suitable for long-term use and harsh conditions.

Integrated Process

Our customers typically purchase these unencoded labels on rolls and run them through an RFID printer/encoder device. This single machine performs two functions in one pass:

  • Encoding: An internal antenna wirelessly writes the desired digital data to the RFID chip's memory via radio frequency transmission

  • Printing: A print head simultaneously prints visual information (like text and barcodes) on the label's surface that corresponds to the encoded data.

RFID Technology

Flexibility in Use

This approach allows end-users to customize the information on each tag at the point of application or as needed, enabling variable data applications for inventory management, asset tracking, and shipping.

Quality Control

The printer/encoder often includes a verification feature to ensure that each tag is successfully encoded and readable immediately after the process, preventing unencoded or corrupted labels from entering circulation.
